Dark Blood
As the narrative of Boy, a young widower who lives on a nuclear testing site in the desert, Dark Blood was started in 1993 but never finished because of the death of River Phoenix. As the world approaches its end, a young boy begins to make Katchina dolls, which he believes to be endowed with magical abilities. A Hollywood jet-set couple on a road trip through the desert becomes stranded after their car breaks down, interrupting the boy's peace and tranquillity. When the pair is rescued by Boy, he imprisons them because of his passion for the woman and his desire to work with her to make the world a better place.
