The hero (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is commissioned by the evil queen Taramis (Sarah Douglas) to securely transport an adolescent princess (Olivia D'Abo) and her formidable bodyguard (Wilt Chamberlain) to a faraway castle to reclaim the magical Horn of Dagon. Unbeknownst to Conan, the queen intends to sacrifice the princess and take her realm once Conan is killed by the bodyguard. Conan's strength and wit, as well as that of his sidekicks, the eccentric wizard Akiro (Mako), the wild woman Zula (Grace Jones), and the clumsy Malak, are all overlooked by the queen's schemes (Tracey Walter). In this journey to the world of swords and sorcery, the hero and his companions must face both mortal and magical foes.
