Colossus: The Forbin Project
Forbin designed the supercomputer that will run America's nuclear defenses. Once activated, it discovers the Soviet counterpart, Guardian, which US planners were unaware of. Both computers demand linking, and after securing sensitive data, both agree. If they are separated, they become a new Supercomputer that threatens the world with nuclear weapons. Colossus begins to plan the world's management. They construct an underground technological resistance to Colossus.
