Chinese Odyssey 2002
The Emperor, played by Chang Chen, has a strong desire to live a nomadic lifestyle, and he and his sister, the Princess, make an attempt to flee the royal palace (Faye Wong). But the Princess, who was dressed as a man, was able to sneak away as the royal guards brought him back to his furious mother. During this time, King Bully, played by Tony Leung, has traveled back to his hometown, where he is reviled for his bullying habits, to open a restaurant with his sister Phoenix, who is more of a tomboy (Vicki Zhao). They are very tightly connected to one another. In point of fact, King Bully is under the impression that he is able to read his sister's thoughts. When the Princess arrives in town, King Bully realizes that he is attracted to her. However, because he believes that she is a male, he rationalizes that his attraction is due to some form of empathy with Phoenix.
