Cheech and Chong, perpetually stoned, tear through Los Angeles, wreaking havoc wherever they go. When Cheech loses his job, the two potheads go to Cheech's girlfriend, Donna, who works at the welfare office. Instead of receiving unemployment benefits, they are forced to return to the streets in search of new employment. Things get even crazier when Cheech's cousin, "Red" Mendoza, arrives.
