Nicholas Cutler is a once-famous novelist who is now stuck teaching English to iPhone-addicted students in a working-class high school. After creating a trashy zombie fiction, he piques the interest of publishers, who are ready to offer him a second shot if he can demonstrate that he has cleaned up his act. However, what could have been the happiest week of his life devolves into mayhem, forcing him to finally prioritize others before his selfish ambitions.
