When two identical twin sets are born in the same hospital on the same night in the little hamlet of Jupiter Hollow in the 1940s, it is a cause for celebration. One set was given to a poor local family, while the other was given to a wealthy family travelling by. The twins were accidently mixed up by the dizzy nurse on duty, who was completely unaware of what had happened. Our story jumps forward to the 1980s, where the mismatched pairs of twins are going to come face to face for the first time.
