Bandits
On the same day that Jean Gabin passes away, Simon Verini's wife is murdered by a kidnapper who also makes off with a wealth in gems stolen from Cartiers. (Simon was acting as a go-between for a young gang that looted Cartiers; he believes that the gang is responsible for the murder.) After being falsely accused of the crime, he serves ten years in prison, during which time he writes letters to his daughter Marie-Sophie, who was 11 years old at the time. After being set free, he gets back in touch with Marie-Sophie and the other young thieves, plots his vengeance, and is promptly captured once more. She has no idea what to make of her father, so she runs away to her Swiss fiance, and she is completely taken aback when one of the younger criminals falls in love with her. Is there any chance of reaching a resolution when a crime affects multiple families and romantic relationships?
