Alyssa, a successful photographer, awakens one morning to discover her apartment has been broken into and her husband has inexplicably disappeared. Without even a photograph to present to the police, she goes to his colleague Eve, a gifted jazz pianist with a seductive demeanor and disarming grace. Eve assists her in confronting her husband's long-standing battle with depression and eventually accepting his absence.
