A Small Fortune
Kevin (Stephen Oates) is an Irish Moss farmer who is loyal to his traditional way of doing things at the price of a more affluent existence for himself and his pregnant wife (Liane Balaban). When he discovers a bag of money washed ashore on the shores of Prince Edward Island, his decision to keep it hidden turns his idyllic fishing community into a burgeoning crime scene when the money's owners arrive. A Small Fortune is the story of one man's battle to care for his family and the necessity to let go of old habits in order to learn that money isn't everything. A Blessing from the Sea, Adam Perry's award-winning short film, was adapted.
