Andreas and Simon, two detectives and best friends, lead dramatically different lives. Andreas has settled down with his lovely wife and son, but Simon, who has recently divorced, spends the majority of his waking hours getting drunk at the local strip club. When the two of them are dispatched to a domestic dispute involving a junkie couple who are locked in a horrible cycle of violence and narcotics, everything changes. Everything appears to be going as planned - until Andreas discovers the couple's young son, who is wailing in a closet. The normally composed police officer is confronted with his own impotence, and he is thrown to the ground. As Andreas's grasp on justice begins to wane, it falls to Simon to restore the delicate balance between right and wrong.
